Our Mission Statement: Supporting children born with genetic disorders of tooth development on their journey to a full functioning, congenial, comfortable, & healthy smile.
The Carson Hawks Foundation is guided by these principles:
The Gospel: faith is our first things first
Integrity: standing up for what is right when others are hurting
Transparency: expressing the 1 truth in what we say and do
Mentorship: building strength in meaningful relationships
Excellence: never insulting God by thinking small
Unwavering: meeting our commitments with urgency & advocacy
Why we started the Carson Hawks Foundation
Carson is one of the 1 in every 8,000 children born with Dentinogenesis Imperfecta, a genetic disorder that affects the development of their teeth. Many of these children need some type of dental prosthetic, and the restoration process requires multi-disciplinary dental teams. When the treatment gets down to the final mile and the child needs implants or dentures, dental insurance does not have a code for the medical condition, so medical insurance calls it a cosmetic procedure. The families are often left with devastating options: enter into overwhelming debt or left unable to help their child overcome the ailment.
We started our journey to help Carson in 2017. The foundation is committed to continue helping children with DI and other developmental defects of the teeth for generations to come...
